Youth

The youth at Resurrection have a lot of opportunities to be involved. Not only are they able to participate in our many activities but they are also integrated into our adult programs as well. Our goal is to tie all of the churches many components together and mix the old and the young. It's working.

Our youth program is off to a great start. Youth night which is on Wednesdays is split into two parts. The Little League and the High League and is divided by dinner which an amazing group of people plan and prepare for us each week. We do a bible study and then we do some fun stuff and mission work. Our missions this year will be, College student care packs, Military members overseas cards, letters and care packages, our food pantry and our Appalachia Mission trips.

We will do several fundraisers which include: a spaghetti dinner, Super Bowl subs, an auction, and a Palm Sunday bread sale.

Our youth are going to be sleeping in boxes outside the first weekend in November to raise money for our Racine homelss shelter in our community food bank. These kids go all night sheltered only by cardboard boxes with little food and no extras. It is a very cold and humbling experience for them as well as for the adults involved.

We will again have special family activities for the youngest kids in the church. These events usually happen on Sunday afternoons and provide families the opportunity to do things with our littlest members.

We welcome our youth here at Resurrection to be active, important and cared for members of our congregation.
